Strengthen Banning

Stopping ban evasion has become easier, with VPN Blocking and the ability to see, via the Action Log, when someone is trying to evade bans. Being able to view IPs of users before they speak is great too.

However, there is always room for improvement.

Here are some ideas I have:

  • Allow location-based banning. For instance, if I get a troll that always comes from a specific town or city, I should be able to ban them.
  • Allow ISP-based banning
  • Include IP Addresses in the “Ban List” in chat settings

Thoughts? Any other owners have ideas that could help?

You’d ban a whole town or ISP for 1 troll???

There are sites that are able to detect VPNS, not sure how though. Maybe Jesse will have to look into that.
